Aubrn Winery Trail Grand Opening (09-26-09)

Last fall Placer County, after much debate, finally passed its winery ordinance which now allows wineries in Placer County to have tasting rooms open to the public. With that important measure behind them, Placer County has moved forward and established a true wine trail, centered around the city of Auburn. Officially five wineries (Fawnbridge Winery, Mt. Vernon Winery, Dono dal Cielo, Vina Castellano, and Ophir Wines) are currently on "The Loop" with more expected to join later. This is a "great leap forward" for Placer County wine tourism, and to kick things off, there will be a Juice and Jazz festival, with music at the wineries to accompany the tastings.
